WP Programming

Wow … programming is indeed awesome yet at the same time could give hard time to crack some built in feature or function with personal preference. Finally what is desired is archived though one is still pending lol.

  1. Disable “Banner Only” category from the header
  2. Disable link when click on banner title
  3. Re-code general-template file to exclude “Banner Only” category post in calendar widget
  4. Re-code function file to add filter to exclude “Banner Only” category post in archive widget
  5. Re-code function file to correct archive post count after exclude “Banner Only” category post in archive widget
  6. Re-code category widget file to remove “Banner Only” category in category widget
  7. Re-code recent post widget file to remove “Banner Only” category post in recent post widget
  8. Re-code page pagination to exclude “Banner Only” category post count

 

The one and only pending from what was planned is showing the correct number of post on screen (by default Anything, Everything & Nothing set 10 posts on page) but could not be done (not enough research, must explore more). Example there are 20 posts for the month and in the latest 10 post, 2 is “Banner Only” category while 8 others is not “Banner Only” category but the screen will show only 8 posts instead of 10 posts, headache. Anyway … gambatte!!!
